Forty years ago, monsters were outed to the world. Their existence no longer myth or legend. While humans and monsters have settled their differences, one threat still remains. The isle of Sterrenval—with the magic it possesses and protects—had been one of the world’s longest kept secrets before it was exposed right alongside the monsters.

To appease hostile governments and keep its borders safe, Sterrenval’s leaders created a reality television game show, dubbed Monster Island. The hope to satisfy the curiosity of those who wished to learn about the mysterious island.

Inviting contestants selected for their supernatural gifts to compete for coveted prizes, they shared their talents and selectively illuminated the world beyond the veil. The show’s thrills, chills and titillation successfully satisfying and distracting a hostile world from their secrets.

And it worked.

Until now.

Twenty-five years after the show began, the world is changing yet again. New threats are rising; more secrets have come to light and plans decades in the making are finally set in motion.
