Black Sand
by
PS Shai
Seth has always lived his life on his terms:
A good job in archaeology doing what he loves
Teaching on the side
A decent apartment in California near his childhood friend
But things go sideways when his body starts acting up, and he gets a multiple sclerosis diagnosis. He trades sunny California for picturesque Vermont, and an apartment for a one story house. He moves away from lively days and hangouts with friends, to an isolating solitude surrounded by trees.
Six months after his move, he gets the opportunity to go on what might be his last trip, and to a place he’s always longed to explore: the Osireion, an ancient site located in Egypt. While there, things go sideways again during the investigation of the ruins, and something unexpected follows him home.
