Champion of the Dead

Champion of the Dead

by

J. Pagaduan

Aurelius is dead, his army fractured and fleeing. A new villain makes a bid to fill the vacancy, and has set sights on Phaedra. The four heroes gather their resources to fight, combating banshees and an old magic that few ever learned and even fewer mastered.

While Torin protects Phaedra, Eldren and Merethyl go off to find the Godstones again and find the ones who were meant to wield them all along. Success means they can keep Phaedra safe and sound long enough to vanquish this newest threat. Failure means that hidden threat of hope is cut and when the dead come, there will be nowhere to hide.

About the Author

J. Pagaduan

J. Pagaduan (he/they) is a Filipino-American writer who weaves dreams and nightmares into stories. His influences range from Edgar Allen Poe to Junji Ito, and his works range in scope from series that span decades to flash fiction that somehow feels just as robust, to the occasional poem or essay. When not writing, he can be found cooking, knitting, caring for his little one, and doing his part to make the world a better place than he found it.
