Everything Blue
by
Elizabeth Caroline
"The blue sky was her last favourite thing from the old world, and when it was taken, so was Nate and pretty much every reason she’d had to smile."
After a deadly virus wipes out the adult population, sixteen-year-old Tori is left to survive in a world that feels nothing like the one she remembers. Her best friend Nate is gone. The sky, once her favourite thing, has faded to grey. And all that’s left is the gang she runs with, and Sky, Nate’s older brother, who’s become her only sense of home.
Together with their small group, Tori moves through the ruins, scavenging for food, shelter, and something that resembles normal life. But when a newcomer joins the gang, so similar to Tori in all the wrong ways, everything changes and the line between survival and actually living begins to blur.
'Everything Blue' is a exploration of survival, loss, and the quest for hope in a world where even the sky has forgotten its once-vivid shade.
