The 11th Code, Part 2

The 11th Code, Part 2

by

Emily Bellman

“Ten Commandments; Ten Chivalric Codes. It was not nearly enough to complete a man. The Eleventh Code was the one nobody had ever thought to teach him.”

Stripped of his dreams, Martin Malterer has resigned himself to a life of duty—until Duke Leopold III of Habsburg arrives, setting his world ablaze. Charismatic, daring, and carrying the weight of an empire on his shoulders, Leopold is everything Martin is not—yet somehow, they are drawn to each other.

As winter tightens its grip, so too does the tension between them. A knight bound by honour. A prince bound by duty. An attraction that neither of them dares name.
In the candlelit halls of Castle Kastelburg, across whispered conversations of war and strategy, respect turns to something deeper—something dangerous. But in a world where love is a political game and men are bound by expectation, what chance does a forgotten knight have with a duke of the empire?

A sweeping medieval historical romance, The 11th Code: Part 2 is a story of forbidden love, longing, and two men whose fates were always meant to intertwine.

Emily Bellman

Emily Bellman is a historical fiction and fantasy writer. Her debut novel is The 11th Code, Parts 1 & 2. Although she ended up working in marketing, she has always found herself intrigued by stories that explore unconventional love, address criticism regarding those who use religion to oppress and harm people, and portray women who really don’t need saving (by men).  Emily currently lives in Germany (you can probably find her exploring various castle ruins, churches, and museums across Europe).
