Darci Miller is determined to be the perfect daughter for her widowed father, but she finds his overprotective ways unbearable. When an opportunity arises for her to work as a secretary at the same summer camp where her mother worked in the 1950s, she eagerly accepts. She quickly discovers there is more happening at the camp than just marshmallow roasts.

A malicious prankster is causing harm to innocent children by playing evil tricks, while the head chef has developed a groundbreaking machine that eliminates fat and calories from food. Someone is trying to steal his valuable invention, aiming to get rich and settle a score for past grievances. As Darci investigates, she uncovers shocking truths about her mother’s past and becomes embroiled in the unfolding chaos. She also finds herself falling for her charismatic boss, creating tension with the spoiled daughter of the owners.
