Violet

by

Emma Jo Gregory

Five sisters in every sense of the word except blood. Raised together with world-shaking powers that come as easy as breathing. The problem? A generational curse for the last 300 years since their ancestors were killed in a witch trial in Swampscott.

Violet
Artist, second sister, and content. Goal in life? Make some amazing art as a legacy and above all do NOT fall in love. She's going to die soon enough thanks to a generational curse, she'll be damned if she's responsible for someone else's death, too. Then one morning her prophetess baby sister is having a vision about her. Now she finds herself off on a mission--not how she wanted to spend her summer.

Then she meets him and is faced with a choice: kill the love of her life in a decade or let him die now.

Phillip
Ten years after Salem, a witch hunt targeted five powerful families in Swampscott, Massachusetts. The frustrating part, at least for historian-in-training Phillip, is the evidence of said trial is slim-to-none, and disappearing as fast as he can find it. Normally his academic heart would be devastated (the horror of having to start his dissertation over!) but he just met the love of his life so it is hard to be mad.

Now he has to figure out the new rules in play because the one time they burned witches there were consequences.

About the Author

Emma Jo Gregory

Emma Jo Gregory is a pen name and alter ego of a college professor (shhh). By day she researches *very* different matters, by night (and weekends) she escapes into alternate realities. A native of Southern California she now finds herself in Texas enjoying the food but not the humidity, thank you very much.

Emma has made up tales since she was a child, subjecting her younger sisters as her first audience. They continue to be her biggest critics (and support group), which is why you’ll probably see themes of sisterhood and family in her writing.

When not writing, researching, or dealing with diva cats, Emma enjoys a good cup of tea (the real stuff, nothing that comes in a bag thankyouverymuch), murder mysteries, and growing her TBR pile (academic and for fun). She dreams of living in a house large enough to hold a library like in Beauty and the Beast—but will most likely end up in Bag End which, let’s be honest, that’s perfectly fine.
