Everyone has their own definition of how content is leveled, but the IAC content levels are based on the same scale that movies are. Please use the chart below at your convenience. LEVEL 1

  • No violence

  • No profanity

  • No drug/alcohol use

  • No sexual content

  • No gore

RATING PG-13

LEVEL 3

  • Descriptions of intense violence

  • Moderate profanity

  • Mild drug/alcohol use

  • Up to level 4 spice content

  • Mild gore descriptions

RATING PG

LEVEL 2

  • Minimal violence

  • No to mild profanity (max. 5 words per book)

  • No drug/alcohol use

  • No romance up to level 3 spice level

  • Minimal gore (non-descriptive)

RATING R

LEVEL 4

  • Realistic, extreme, and/or persistent violence

  • Prevalent profanity

  • Mild to prevalent drug/alcohol use

  • Level 4-6 spice content

  • Mild to extreme gore descriptions
