Future London: Detective Lynx Wu may have rare restoration magic, but even he can't restore what was lost—his brother, snatched during a freak attack. Magic Thief Sutyu Lam could have told him who did it. She’s friends with Lynx’s brother and wants him back as much as Lynx does. Instead, Sutyu takes matters into her own hands by accepting a risky deal from the kidnapper: steal Lynx’s rare magic in exchange for his brother’s safety. Stealing is her bread and butter, and seducing the handsome Lynx isn’t a bad gig.

But the masks are slipping. As Lynx gets closer to revealing the Magic Thief's identity, his affection for Sutyu grows. She could be the key to getting his brother back, but trusting her is akin to trusting a viper not to bite.
