Empress Autumn has been betrayed and abducted by Armienti after her husband Dante had arranged safe passage for her to return home to her family on Earth. Stranded on a remote ice world with her mortal enemy hunting her day in and day out, Autumn must keep her wits about her and fight to stay alive, hoping Dante will find her before time runs out.

Dante will stop at nothing to bring his empress home safely, even if it means destroying the universes and challenging the very hierarchy that has controlled him his entire life and dominated space for the last four hundred years, sweeping through the stars like a plague.
