We Have Met the Enemy hearkens back to the classic science fiction of Asimov, Clarke, and Herbert, but with the richly developed characters of a Roddenberry-esque story. In the 31st century, Naiche Decker has been fighting in Earth’s war against an enigmatic and powerful alien enemy for six grueling years. Weary of losing battles and friends, she joins a deep space mission in a desperate search for the origins of the aliens - information vital to defeating them and saving the human race. On the voyage Decker is forced to confront not only the looming alien threat but her wary comrades and her own impetuous nature.
