As a meteorologist, Iris O'Hara spends her days forecasting the weather and issuing warnings to keep people safe. She never expected the biggest hazard would be Hector Madeira—a brooding park ranger, military veteran, and the human embodiment of a red flag warning. Iris stumbles upon the body of a missing woman, bringing Hector into the fold, but his permanent scowl and a suspicious amount of flannel make it hard to concentrate on anything else when they are forced into close proximity.

When a wildfire tears through the national park where he's stationed, Hector and Iris must work together.
