My therapist told me to “break out of my shell.” So I joined the college swim team.

It doesn’t take long to see that this isn't a regular club. The way looks linger a second too long on wet bodies. The way slick skin brushing, sliding, pressing against each other in the water. Soon, I find myself responding. And later, in the steamy locker room, I arch into a guy as he pins me to the cold tiles, showing me what this club is really about. Before I can catch my breath, the door opens and a woman joins in. Together, they shatter every boundary I thought I had until I’m learning the only rule that matters: here, every body is free to use.
