One intercepted pass with less than a minute left in the game and Dante Kelley, star quarterback for the NFL expansion team Portland Mountain Lions, loses it all: the championship, his girlfriend, and his dignity.

When he finds an off-the-beaten-path bar to drown his sorrows, he also finds…a one-night stand.

They both walk away satisfied and with no expectations. Hell, she doesn’t even know his real name. She has no idea he is a famous quarterback for one of the most popular NFL franchises.

He kind of wishes she knew, because he’d kind of like to see her again.

But it isn’t in the cards.
