The Christmas Gift

As the twinkling lights of the holiday season approach, the Economos family is anything but merry. Following the tumultuous events of Family Upheaval, Daria Economos finds herself grappling with her husband’s betrayal, her heart heavy with hurt as Christmas looms like a fruitcake-shaped asteroid.  Daria's not sure if she wants to deck the halls or deck her estranged husband.

Determined to bring joy back into their fractured lives, eldest son Chris rallies his siblings —Greg, Vanessa, and Cassie — and sets out on a heartfelt mission to transform their mother’s holiday into something special.  He envisions a Norman Rockwell painting come to life, complete with caroling, a perfectly trimmed tree, and a family dinner where everyone smiles politely and pretends their lives aren't crumbling faster than a gingerbread house in a hurricane.

Of course, things don't exactly go according to plan. Can the family find a way to forgive, to laugh and to rediscover the true meaning of Christmas amidst the chaos?  Or will this holiday season be remembered as the year the Economos family finally imploded, leaving behind only a trail of tinsel, tears, and slightly singed Christmas cookies?
